BAKER OF MYERS PARK SEEKS FOURTH STRAIGHT FINALS BERTH
RALEIGH — Grace Baker of Charlotte Myers Park moved within one match of her fourth consecutive state championship appearance with a pair of wins on Friday in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 4-A women’s tennis tournament championships at the Millbrook Exchange Park.

.
In doubles, the Wilmington Hoggard duo of McKayla Zupan and Elizabeth Hodges survived a pair of grueling three-set matches to move into the semifinals. The Hoggard team will face South Mecklenburg’s Abby Segodnia and Samantha Forlenza in one morning match, while Raleigh Broughton’s Katie Kane and Maggie Kane will face Majdou Lavoie and Lauren Tuscano of Greensboro Grimsley.
