June 5, 1970 On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Robersonville outlasted Farmer 1-0 in 17 innings in the first game of the best of three series for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 1-A baseball championship. Farmer came back to win the next two contests to take the championship.
