FRANK DAVIS HONORED BY BROOKS
A well known coach who works closely with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association has been honored for his achievements in track and field.
Frank Davis is one of the 10 national finalists for the Brooks 2011 Inspiring Coaches Award.
The goal of the Inspiring Coaches program is to honor inspirational track and cross country coaches who not only support their teams with time, encouragement, and dedication, but go above and beyond to build and keep their programs strong, make a lasting difference in the lives of their athletes, and inspire not only their own athletes, but others in their communities to run and be active.
The company encouraged athletes, parents, fellow coaches, and anyone who knew a great coach to share their stories of how a coach inspires them. Frank was chosen from over 1000 applications for coaches across the country as one of the top 10 finalists.
As a finalist, he will receive an all-expense paid trip to the Brooks Inspire Daily High School Coaches Camp set for June 26-29 at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, Washington, where the national winner will be recognized.
Frank coaches at Southern Durham High School and has also been very active with the Durham Striders, who work with the NCHSAA state championship track meets.
Congratulations to Frank!
