This Day In NCHSAA History

December 22, 2001

On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Winston-Salem Parkland defeated Crest 27-21 in the North Carolina High School Athletic Assocation state 3-A football championship game at Kenan Stadium. The playoffs were delayed one week in the West by litigation, but the NCHSAA prevailed in the case and the 3-A championship was played a week later than the other classifications.
