This Day In NCHSAA History

April 23, 2004

On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Southern Nash’s Kymberly Lamm had a record day for the Firebirds’ softball squad. Lamm blasted three grand slams and drove in 12 runs in a 21-1 defeat of rival Nash Central.  Not only were both marks NCHSAA records, but at the time of the achievement she became the second fast-pitch player in the country ever to hit three grand slams in a game while her 12 RBIs were good enough for third nationally. Lamm went on to play at Louisburg College.
