            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Kyle Johnson of Charlotte Catholic became the only men's singles tennis player in NCHSAA history to win four consecutive state championships. Johnson won the 3-A title for the fourth straight time with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Matt Daly of Cardinal Gibbons in the championship at the Burlington Tennis Center.
