            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, the meeting of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Section 3 at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside concluded. The North Carolina High School Athletic Association hosted the annual gathering of state association officials from across the Southeast. States that are included in Section 3 are the two Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee.

 

September 9, 2011        

            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, quarterback Drew Davis of East Chapel Hill High School completed a state record 43 passes in a 44-25 loss to Carrboro. Jackson Boyer of East caught 18 of those passes from Davis.
