             On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Raleigh Wakefield quarterback Connor Mitch threw a record-breaking nine touchdown passes as Wakefield got past Raleigh Broughton in a 70-42 shootout.  Four previous quarterbacks had thrown for eight TD's in a single game, the most recent of which was Joe Cox of Charlotte Independence in 2004.

            Mitch also threw for a single-game record 667 yards in the contest, completing 37 of 57.
