            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Frank Spratt of Chapel Hill set a course record in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association cross country championships in Chapel Hill. Spratt had a time of 10:11.5 over a course that was 2.2 miles in length. Charlotte Myers Park won the team title.
