On this day in history in the NCHSAA, North Carolina High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame member David Maynard of Burlington died at the age of 84. Maynard was an outstanding athlete at the old Jordan Sellars High School in Alamance County and later was a successful high school basketball coach there.
