Brandon Ingram of Kinston High School had an excellent performance last week in Chicago at the annual McDonald's All-American game.

     The Kinston star, who led the Vikings to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 2-A men's basketball championship last month at the Smith Center, scored 15 points, grabbed five reboundsm, had two steals and one blocked shot in the McDonald's game.

     He is a two-time Associated Press North Carolina all-state selection who has not yet announced his decision as to where he will attend college.
