Josh Ladowski of Lake Norman High School had an outstanding football career and a performance during the 2014 season that has enabled him to earn several spots in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state record book.
The Lake Norman star, who was also the offensive Most Valuable Player for the North Carolina squad in the 2014 Shrine Bowl, finished the season with 3,628 yards passing and 43 touchdown passes, while also rushing for 2,019 yards and scoring 34 TD’s on the ground.
His touchdown responsibility number of 77 is a new NCHSAA state record, breaking a mark set years ago by Chris Leak at Charlotte Independence during the 2002 season. His 5,647 yards in total offense is also a new record, breaking Leak’s mark set in the ’02 campaign by over 150 yards.
Ladowski was the Gatorade Football Player of the Year in North Carolina and was also named the Associated Press Player of the Year in the state.
Congratulations to Josh Ladowski and our thanks to several different contributors for providing documentation for record purposes.
