MITCHELL– The Mitchell High School football team spent Labor Day doing labor, but not the kind directly related to football, according to a report in the Asheville Citizen-Times.
The Mountaineers worked Monday morning harvesting potatoes, and their work benefitted the North Carolina Baptist Children’s Home in Clyde. The potatoes had been planted back in April.
Mitchell, which is 3-0 on the season, will visit Marion to take on McDowell on Friday night.
