RALEIGH—There is a new and improved way to connect on line with the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame and Museum and tap in to a host of special information.
Hall Pass™ is a comprehensive, year-round program to engage and inspire student-athletes, while also providing relevant information to parents, athletic directors, coaches and friends who support them. It is open to all North Carolina students grades six and above who participate or follow interscholastic or club sports, as well those who follow and coach these individuals.
Now signing up for Hall Pass™ is easier than ever and should take only a matter of seconds. There is still no charge for signing up for the program, which is based on a micro site within the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame website.
Hall Pass™ allows participants to access all kinds of interesting stories and information about the achievements of Hall of Famers. It also has a bevy of resources helpful for student-athletes, including a number of free courses specifically developed for them by the National Federation of State High School Associations.
Schools across the state will be able to earn special incentives, including gift cards to Dick’s Sporting Goods, for having the most student-athletes sign up. The sooner student-athletes sign up, the sooner their schools will be eligible for the incentives. There are also plans being developed for a scholarship program which would be available to eligible Hall Pass™ participants.
The purpose of Hall Pass™ to engage, inform, inspire and support student-athletes and their supporters in a community of like-minded peers.
“We are really excited about the improvements to our Hall Pass™ program, now with some special benefits to schools across North Carolina, said Don Fish, executive director of the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame. “We have added a tremendous amount of new content that should be of great interest along with other helpful resources, and schools and student-athletes themselves can also benefit directly. We hope people across the state take advantage of this.”
