NCHSAA 4A DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RALEIGH – In the first event of the 2016 NCHSAA 4A Swimming & Diving Championships, Holly Springs’ Andrew Capobianco outclassed the field defeating his nearest competitor, Connor Callahan of Panther Creek by 42.35 points.  Callahan was the defending champion of the event. 

After the victory by Capobianco, Holly Springs only trails Hough, who placed two divers in the points in the event and holds a narrow six-point advantage heading into the swimming events tomorrow.

In the women’s competition divers from Hough placed first and second. Jocelyn Porter brought home top honors with a score of 477.65. Jennifer Giacolone came in second place just 1.5 points in front of Alyssa Wang of East Chapel Hill.

Hough women had four divers place in the points in the competition and are out to a commanding 45-point advantage heading into the swimming events.

The 4A swimming events are scheduled for Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary tomorrow, February 11th.

Preliminary rounds begin at 8:30 tomorrow morning with the finals set for 4:45 pm.
