Chapel Hill — The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) is pleased to announce the 2020 recipients of the NCHSAA Lacrosse Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes one male and one female senior, varsity lacrosse student-athlete planning to attend and play collegiate varsity level lacrosse. Adyson LeMay from Ronald Reagan High School and Thomas Pittman II from New Bern High School are this year’s recipients of the $500 scholarship award.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
Adyson LeMay is a 4-year lacrosse player at Ronald Regan High School. LeMay served as a team captain this year and has lettered in the sport for the past two years. This fall Adyson will continue her lacrosse journey as a member of the Catawba College Women’s Lacrosse team. She plans to study nursing.
Thomas Pittman II is a varsity lacrosse player at New Bern High School, where he served as team captain his senior year. He is an Eagle Scout and a member of the National Honor Society. This fall he plans to pursue a degree in Biology at Methodist University where he will be a member of the men’s lacrosse team and football team.
ABOUT THE NCHSAA LACROSSE SCHOLARSHIP
The NCHSAA Lacrosse Scholarship is awarded to one male and one female senior varsity lacrosse player from an NCHSAA member high school. To be eligible, the student-athlete must be accepted to play lacrosse on the varsity collegiate level of an NCAA or NAIA program.
