Wendell Hampton, a veteran wrestling official and a booking agent in that sport for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association, died on Sunday at the Forsyth Medical Center.

He was 69 years of age.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, September 12,

at eleven o’clock at Frank Vogler and Sons Reynolda Road Chapel in Winston-Salem, with burial to follow at Asbury Pentecostal  Holiness Church Cemetery in Westfield.
