New Consecutive Points After Mark In State

Woody Parrish of Davie County High School has booted his way into the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Record Book.

Parrish, who has completed his football career with the War Eagles, kicked 77 consecutive points after touchdown over a three-season span, which is the new North Carolina standard. He started the streak on November 19, 2010 and it ended on November 9 of this year.

Parrish’s mark eclipsed the old record of 67, which was jointly held by Ryan Beeson of Ragsdale (2000-01) and Trey Bridges of Shelby (1999-2000).

Our thanks to Davie head coach Doug Illing for submitting the proper information and documentation.
