GREENSBORO –Tina Gunn, who has been a successful women’s basketball coach at Eastern Guilford High School, is leaving that post to take over the women’s basketball position at Grimsley High School in Greensboro.

Multiple media outlets, including the Burlington Times-News and Greensboro News and Record, have reported the story.

Gunn is a former Eastern Guilford player who has been the head varsity coach at her high school alma mater for the past 11 years.  Her teams have put together a record of 198-101 during that stretch after her team was winless in 25 starts in the 2001-02 season, her first as the Eastern varsity coach.

She played for the legendary Kay Yow at North Carolina State University.
