NORTHSIDE HONORS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP BASEBALL TEAM FROM 1994
YEATESVILLE— Northside High School in Beaufort County recently honored its 1994 North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 2-A baseball championship team, according to the Washington Daily News.
The recognition occurred at Northside’s annual Easter baseball tournament.
Members of the championship team and family members were recognized prior to one of the tournament games.
The 1994 team was coached by Larry Anderson and overcame a 5-7 start on the season to win the state championship. Northside defeated Charles D. Owen of Black Mountain in two straight games to clinch the state title.
