POTW Week 21 Winners

Each week an athlete in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association is selected for the Performance of the Week Award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. These athletes are nominated by coaches, media, and school administrators for their outstanding performance.

The OrthroCarolina Performer of the Week for week twenty-one of NCHSAA competition goes to Amiyah Ware of Cedar Ridge High School and Connor Ferguson of Community School of Davidson High School.

Amiyah Ware has been lights out this season for Cedar Ridge High School. She has just come off a record breaking 54-point performance against Western Alamance High School in which she broke the Orange County record, regardless of gender, that was held by Ronnie McAdoo since 1978. This was also the first 50-point game in Cedar Ridge history. She continues to lead her team on and off the court as a senior leader on the team.

Conner is a Junior on the Community School of Davidson basketball team is leasing them to a very strong season at 15-8 overall and 8-3 in the conference. Tuesday night, Conner hit a three-quarter court shot at the buzzer to beat the rival Pine Lake Prep. Conner looks to finish the season strong as the Spartans are right in the playoff picture.

Congratulations to Amiyah Ware of Cedar Ridge High School and Connor Ferguson of Community School of Davidson High School on an outstanding performance last week!!
