POTW Week 27 Winners

Each week an athlete in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association is selected for the Performance of the Week Award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. These athletes are nominated by coaches, media, and school administrators for their outstanding performance.

The OrthoCarolina Performer of the Week for week twenty-seven of NCHSAA competition goes to Sadie Olson of Eno River Academy and Ryan Sedlacek of Hibriten High School.

Sadie Olson is a sophomore soccer sensation for Eno River Academy. In the past two games, she has had her hand deeply imprinted in both wins. She had 2 goals in a 2-0 win over Bartlett Yancey. She also had 5 goals and 1 assist in a 9-0 win over Cummings. Sadie has been impressive on the soccer field and continues to lead her team to victories!

Hibriten senior, Rylan Sedlacek has been dominant in cross country for the last three years. He recently set the school record in the 5K at 16:44. In the young track season, Rylan just placed 1st in three events. His times of 4:54.91 in the 1600M, 2:16 in the 800M, and 4:02 in the 4×400 were more than impressive. He was named 3A/4A all conference in 2021 and 2022 and he looks to add another all-conference nomination in 2023!

Congratulations to Sadie Olson of Eno River Academy and Ryan Sedlacek of Hibriten High School on an outstanding performance last week!!
