POTW Week 7 Winners

Each week two athletes in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association are selected for the Performance of the Week Award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. These athletes are nominated by coaches, media, and school administrators for their outstanding performance. 

The OrthroCarolina Performers of the Week for week seven of NCHSAA competition go to Sydney Kendall-Eason from Jack Britt High School and Stephan Zayachkowsky from Porter Ridge High School. 

Kendall-Eason a Senior setter on the Jack Britt Volleyball team had a huge week with 34 kills, 9 aces, 39 digs, and 72 assists. She led the team to a 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-13) win on senior night over Hoke County and put up a great battle in close losses 1-3 (25-21, 25-27, 19-25, 25-27) and 0-3 (22-25, 20-25, 27-29) to outranked conference opponent’s, South View and Gray's Creek. This week Jack Britt will be traveling to Cape Fear to take on Lumberton in our conference tournament. 

Zayachkowsky a Senior on the Porter Ridge Football team led the Pirates to another Conference win and was constantly a thorn in the opposition's side.  On offense he had 6 carries for 77 yards and a touchdown.  On defense he had 10 tackles, 1 sack and a pick sick to seal the game for Porter Ridge.

Congratulations to Sydney Kendall-Eason of Jack Britt High and Stephan Zayachkowsky of Porter Ridge High School on an outstanding performance last week!!
