Reagan Swimmers Now NCAA Champions

PFAFFTOWN– Three former Reagan High School students – Lillian Gordy, Alexandra Marshall and Jay Stancliff – can now add a national championship to their resumes, according to the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools.

The trio of Reagan graduates went on to swim for Queens University of Charlotte. Back in March, they were part of the women’s and men’s swim teams that won the NCAA National Division II Championship.

Earlier this year they received their championship rings at a ceremony held at the Levine Center on the Queens campus.

Gordy, who graduated from Reagan in 2011, graduated from Queens in May. Marshall, who graduated from Reagan in 2013, is a junior and working to repeat the title. Stancliff, a 2011 Reagan graduate, is a fifth-year senior working on his last semester of nursing.

All three were standout high school swimmers who worked under the leadership of Reagan swim coach Ryan Michel.
