RESCHEDULED NCHSAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN INDOOR TRACK SET FOR SATURDAY IN CHAPEL HILL

CHAPEL HILL –North Carolina High School Athletic Association state championships in two classifications of indoor track will be decided on Saturday after inclement weather forced postponed of last week’s meets.

The 24th annual indoor track event, with competition classified as 4-A and then 1-A/2-A/3-A together for the fourth consecutive year, will take place at the Eddie Smith Indoor Arena on the UNC campus.

The 1-A/2-A/3-A meet will get underway at ten o’clock Saturday morning with field events and running finals, and then the 4-A championships are scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. The time schedule for the meets has been adjusted slightly from last week’s announced schedule.

Winston-Salem Mount Tabor won the ’09 women’s title while Southeast Raleigh was taking the men’s crown.
