St. Stephens Names New Men’s Soccer Coach

HICKORY— Cory Morgan has been named as the new men’s head soccer coach at St. Stephens High School, according to various media reports.

Morgan, who is 31, has been working in admissions at Fortis College in Georgia for the last five years. His father is Steve Morgan, the current soccer coach at Alexander Central.

Morgan was a standout soccer player at Hickory High School and is listed in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association record book in a couple of categories. He went to play at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where he was the leading scorer in Bear soccer history.
