As Director of Communications and Media Relations, Brandon is responsible for all external communication avenues the NCHSAA utilizes and is the liaison for all media outlets covering the association and its competitions. 

Brandon is a product of the NCHSAA, having lettered in varsity soccer, basketball and golf at West Wilkes. After graduating in 2009, he earned a B.A. in Communications Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In his time at UNC, he worked at the Daily Tar Heel and was Sports Editor of the student newspaper in 2013. Upon graduation, he interned with the Denver Broncos in the 2013 season and then returned to North Carolina to work as a sports reporter and, eventually, the Assistant Sports Editor at the Wilkes Journal-Patriot where he and the staff won several NC Press Association Awards. Brandon joined the communications staff of the Charlotte Independence in the United Soccer League in 2017 and then took over the Marketing Department of Penn FC in the same league in 2018. 

After the 2018 USL season, Brandon became the Communications Director for the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association, the statewide trade association representing the transportation industry in the Keystone State. After five years in Pennsylvania, Brandon and his wife Summer were thrilled to move back home to North Carolina.

Brandon and Summer reside in Hillsborough with their daughter Archer.
