Stanley To Retire At Glenn

KERNERSVILLE—Long-time coach and athletic director Marty Stanley of Glenn High School has announced his retirement, according to a report in the Winston-Salem Journal.

He coached baseball, basketball, softball and football during his career, including serving as Glenn’s varsity women’s basketball coach from 1985 through 2008 and winning well over 300 games. Stanley also was active in the North Carolina Athletic Directors Association and assisted the NCHSAA when the Western Regional basketball tournament was held in Winston-Salem for a number of years.
