Teague Headed Back To Reidsville

REIDSVILLE — According to a Virginia television station and other media outlets, former Reidsville High School head coach Jimmy Teague is returning to the school as head football coach.

Teague retired from Reidsville and became offensive coordinator at Greensboro College in 2009, and then was head coach at Danville (Va.) George Washington during 2010 and ’11.

The Rams have been looking for a head coach since longtime assistant Doug Robertson resigned in April after three seasons and one state title to become head coach at Person County. Robertson’s teams went 36-7 and his 2009 squad won the NCHSAA Class 2-AA state championship.

Teague’s teams posted a record of 198-40 in his 17 seasons at the Reidsville helm and the Rams earned four state championships in that stretch.
