Dave Thomas has returned to Harnett Central as head football coach, according to various media reports including The Raleigh News and Observer.
Thomas was the head coach at Harnett Central in 2000 and 2001 but left to be closer to family members who lived in Tennessee. He was an assistant coach at Harnett Central last year.
Thomas is a 1980 graduate of Charles B. Aycock in Pikeville and then graduated from East Carolina University in 1985. He also served as head coach at Bartlett Yancey for three seasons before his first stint in Harnett County.
