Veteran Dudley Basketball Coach To Retire

VETERAN DUDLEY BASKETBALL COACH SET TO RETIRE
GREENSBORO–  David Price, the veteran men’s basketball coach at Dudley High School in Greensboro, is retiring, according to the Greensboro News and Recird.
Price has been one of the state’s outstanding coaches, winning three NCHSAA state championships and guiding his team to five appearances in the state title game in his 20 years at Dudley.
Dudley won back to back state championships in 2005 and ’06 at the 3-A level and took the 4-A championship in 1996. The Panthers were 3-A runners-up in 2000 and in 2004.
Among some of the outstanding players who have played for Dudley during those years are Brendan Haywood, who has had a long career in the NBA; former North Carolina player Will Graves and current UNC player P.J. Hairston. 
Price posted a record of 449-131, according to the Greensboro paper.
