Wakefield Qb Compiles Great Career Stats

RALEIGH— Wakefield quarterback Connor Mitch completed one of the top seasons ever by a North Carolina passer and has several seasonal listings in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Record Book.

But his career marks are also amazing and in most cases will put him second behind all-time passing leader Chris Leak of Charlotte Independence.

Mitch threw for a whopping 12,078 yards during his stellar career, which would be second to Leak’s astronomical 15,593 yards.

In addition, his 1,384 attempts is the second most ever in North Carolina, as well as his four-year completion total of 807. He also threw for 153 touchdowns during his career, second to Leak’s total of 185.

For the 2012 season, Mitch completed a whopping 306 passes, good for third place on the all-time list, and his 503 attempts is fourth all-time.

His yardage total for the season was 4,661, which is second only Leak, who threw for the state record of 5,193 yards during the 2002 season and now has three of the top four season totals. With 63 touchdown passes for the season, Mitch is third all-time in that yearly category.

Again, congratulations to Connor Mitch on a great career and we appreciate Coach Rodney Sink documenting all of these totals.
