WEEK 13 | Students from North Lincoln and Princeton Earn Performance of the Week Awards

CHAPEL HILL— Ty Williams from North Lincoln High School and Seth Blevins from Princeton High School have been named recipients of the NCHSAA Performance of the Week award. Each week two athletes in North Carolina High School Athletic Association competition are selected for this award from nominations received from coaches, media, and school administrators.

Williams, a senior on the North Lincoln Football Team, led the Knights to a 54-19 win over R-S Central.  Williams got it done on both sides of the ball gaining 176 yards and 5 touchdowns on 17 carries while registering 12 total tackles and a sack on defense.

Blevins, a senior on the Princeton Football Team, rushed for 261 yards and 5 touchdowns on just 8 carries.  His 32.6 yards per carry paved the way to a 62-7 win in the first round of the 1AA Playoffs against East Carteret.

Weekly recipients will be recognized on the NCHSAA Website and social media pages. They will also be honored at a banquet for all recipients from this year in April. The deadline for nominations is each Monday at 5 p.m through the online form that can be found here.
