Each week two athletes in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association are selected for the Performance of the Week Award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. These athletes are nominated by coaches, media and school administrators for their outstanding performance.
The OrthoCarolina Performers of the Week for week 16 of NCHSAA competition are Alyssa Bullock from Vance Charter and Keenan Jackson from Weddington.
Bullock, a sophomore guard for the Knights, had a triple double in their contest with Neuse Charter last week with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. She averaged 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 10.5 assists in Vance Charter’s two wins last week.
Jackson, a senior wide receiver for the Warriors, was named Most Valuable Player in Weddington’s 56-21 win in the 4A State Championship game against Hoggard on Saturday night. Jackson had 136 receiving yards and three total touchdowns.
