Each week two athletes in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association are selected for the Performance of the Week Award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. These athletes are nominated by coaches, media and school administrators for their outstanding performance.
The OrthoCarolina Performers of the Week for week 28 of NCHSAA competition are Jordan Speller from North Pitt and Kendre Harrison from Reidsville.

Her outstanding performance on both sides of the court was enough to crown her the 2024 Kay Yow Most Valuable Player. Jordan tallied 27 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks.
Harrison, a sophomore men’s basketball player from Reidsville, helped the Rams defeat Farmville Central in the NCHSAA Championship game scoring 19 points in only 12 shots, 13 rebounds and five blocks. Kendre was the x-factor for the undefeated Reidsville Rams playing strong defense and coming in clutch when the team needed him the most.
