West Charlotte Appoints New Football Coach

CHARLOTTE—Daren Hart has been named as the new head football coach at West Charlotte High School, according to a report in The Charltote Observer.

Hart has been named to replace Andrew Jordan, who just stepped down after being hired in January to replace the late Mo Coliins. According to the newspaper, Hart is the fourth person to fill the role as head coach since December of 2013.

The new West Charlotte head coach began his coaching career as an assistant at West in 1998 and has also coached at Southern Durham.  He has had collegiate stops at North Carolina Central, North Carolina A&T and most recently at Winston-Salem State.

He is a 1996 graduate of East Carolina University.
