WEEK 4 | Students from East Lincoln and Reagan Receive Performance of the Week awards

CHAPEL HILL— Chase Gilley from East Lincoln High School and Morgan Ketchum from Reagan High School have been named recipients of the NCHSAA Performance of the Week award. Each week two athletes in North Carolina High School Athletic Association competition are selected for this award from nominations received from coaches, media, and school administrators.

Gilley, a senior on the Mustangs’ soccer team, tied the school record by scoring 6 goals in East Lincoln’s win over South Point.  Chase has 20 goals and 8 assists on the season, leading East Lincoln to an 8-0 record.

Reagan sophomore golfer, Morgan Ketchum, shot a 5 under par in conference play this week.  Ketchum’s season-low score of 31 led Reagan to their third straight first-place finish.

Weekly recipients will be recognized on the NCHSAA Website and social media pages. They will also be honored at a banquet for all recipients from this year in April. The deadline for nominations is each Monday at 5 p.m through the online form that can be found here.
